High Speed Video Communication first attempt for a beginner

SunnyBee

I always wanted to layout my own pcb but didn’t know how. Well now it was my time to have to learn quick because my company I work for ran out of resources to assist me in my system I was designing. I had to come up with a way to use high speed video running at a clock rate of 70 MHz for the pix clock signal but everything I was using before was using shielded wire with copper tape and that never worked all the time. So I had to come up with an alternative to make this work and I seen many people use Sunstone for laying out Pcb’s with fairly easy to use program. I laid out my first board, nervous that it was going to work. When I got my boards in from Sunstone I has happy to see something that I actually designed for the first time. I was anxious to put it to the test and to my surprise it actually worked. The project I was working on was was vision system. I was the first person in at my company to see the live video and to my surprise I had 10 people around my desk admassed that it actually worked. I now have everyone wanting to borrow my setup for their research and needs. What’s funny is that I don’t work for the engineering department. With Sunstone’s easy to use software and great support I felt good inside that what I made others where able to use my design for their research. It’s great when you can make something and it actually works the first time you apply power. Heheheh can’t wait to design something else to help myself and others at the same time. Thanks Sunstone for great service and ease of use. Happy sunny.
